Terms & Conditions

Short version: YerTaxes is a calculator, not a tax advisor. Its numbers can be wrong, and you are responsible for what you file. Payments are in crypto and are not refundable. The YER token gives access to the tools and nothing else.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using YerTaxes ("the Service") you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. What the Service is

YerTaxes reads public blockchain transactions and the exchange files you upload, and calculates cost basis, gains and losses from them. It produces a CSV export and an Excel workbook. It currently covers Solana and Ethereum wallets and Coinbase exports. Anything outside those is not in the report.

3. Not tax, legal or financial advice

This matters more than anything else on this page. YerTaxes is a calculation tool. It does not know your circumstances, it does not decide how a transaction should be treated under the law, and it is not a CPA, an enrolled agent or an attorney. Nothing it produces is tax, legal or financial advice, and using it creates no advisor or client relationship with anyone.

You are solely responsible for your tax filings. Have a qualified tax professional review the output before you rely on it.

4. The numbers can be wrong

We work hard at accuracy and make no guarantee of it. Specifically:

Check the reconciliation, trace the formulas, and verify independently before filing.

5. What you are responsible for

6. Your data

Uploaded files are processed in memory and not kept; wallet analysis results are kept for about 30 days so you can download them again; payment records are kept. The details, including the third parties involved, are in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

7. Payments and credits

Some features require payment in SOL, or holding YER tokens. Payments are made on a public blockchain, are final once confirmed, and are not refundable. Credits are valid for 365 days from purchase and then expire. Credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for anything except use of the Service.

Sending the wrong amount, to the wrong address, or on the wrong network is your loss. We cannot reverse a blockchain transaction and neither can anyone else. Prices and tiers can change at any time; a change does not affect credits already bought.

8. The YER token

The YER token exists to give tiered access to the tools on this platform. It has no intrinsic value. It is not a security, a share, a deposit or an investment product, and it confers no ownership, equity, profit share, vote or rights of any kind.

Its price can fall to zero. Nobody here is working to make it rise, and nothing here is a promise that it will. The people behind YerTaxes may hold YER and may buy or sell it at any time without notice. The access a given holding grants can be changed or withdrawn. Do not buy it expecting to make money.

9. Your wallet

We never hold your funds and never ask for a private key or a seed phrase. Anyone who does is not us. Connecting a wallet proves an address is yours by signing a message; it authorises no payment. Every payment is a separate transaction that your wallet shows you and you approve. You are responsible for the security of your own wallet and devices.

10. Who may use it

You must be at least 18. Do not use the Service if you are in a sanctioned jurisdiction, on a sanctions list, or anywhere that using it would break the law. Working out which of those apply to you is your responsibility.

11. Fair use

Do not scrape the Service, resell it, attack it, try to get around payment or rate limits, or use it to process data you have no right to. We may refuse or end access for any reason, including abuse.

12. Availability

The Service depends on blockchains, data providers and hosting that all fail sometimes. It is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, and no promise that it will be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. It may change, or be withdrawn, at any time. Roadmap items are intentions, not commitments.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, YerTaxes and the people behind it are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. That includes errors in calculations, missed deductions, tax owed, penalties or interest assessed by any tax authority, lost funds, lost data and downtime.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to cover YerTaxes and the people behind it against claims, damages and costs arising from your use of the Service, the data you put into it, or your breach of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

These terms can change. When they do, the date at the top changes and you are asked to accept again. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accepted it.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which YerTaxes is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim must be brought individually, not as part of a class action, and within one year of the events giving rise to it.

17. Contact
